Course Details

Reception to Year 6 provides a supportive and nurturing environment in which each child’s strengths are developed.

The Primary School curriculum, based on the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and the world outside. The PYP is a framework guided by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance, explored using knowledge and skills with an emphasis on inquiry.

PYP schools seek to ensure that learning is engaging, relevant, challenging and significant.

Our strong Pastoral Care program ensures that children are nurtured at every stage of their development within a Christian environment. Our teachers value getting to know each student as a unique individual.

A variety of co-curricular opportunities are offered to broaden and enhance opportunities for student engagement and learning. As students progress through the primary years, we aim to offer a range of meaningful leadership opportunities.

Students at all year levels have the opportunity to represent their classes on the Student Representative Council. The culmination of the Primary Years Programme is the Year 6 Exhibition, in which students showcase their learning journey from ELC to Year 6.

As a service to families of our school and community, Concordia provides an Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) program for students in Reception to Year 6.
